Bus Driver in the Netherlands
Job Description:
The employer operates in the picturesque province of Limburg, located in the southeastern part of the Netherlands. Responsibilities:
- Selling digital tickets to passengers.
- Providing excellent service during the ride.
- Ensuring safe and comfortable bus transportation in all weather conditions.
- Driving primarily electric buses.
- Reporting irregularities, such as traffic congestion, bus occupancy, road conditions, and equipment malfunctions.
- Inspecting the technical condition of the vehicle and reporting any detected issues.
- Preparing the bus for operation, including refueling (oil, water, air), setting the route, calibrating the tachograph (if needed), and ensuring all equipment is functional.
Requirements:
Only applicants meeting all criteria will be considered.
- Minimum English level: B1+.
- EU nationality or citizenship.
- Valid EU category D driver’s license.
- Valid Code 95 certification.
- Valid tachograph card (must be arranged in the candidate’s home country if not already obtained).
- Recent professional experience within the last three years.
- At least one year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide a clean Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
Salary and Benefits:
Salary:
- Collective Agreement: MUMO/OV.
- Starting hourly wage: €16.30 (depending on experience and test results).
- Weekly hours: 36-40 hours per week according to MUMO/OV terms.
- Holiday allowance: 8%, paid weekly.
Overtime and Shift Allowances:
- Weekly payment for overtime hours.
- Additional compensation for irregular shifts (approximately 20% extra per hour).
- Net monthly salary starts from €2,600.
